For one of our projects we were challenged to create a poster for a band that was chosen by one of our teachers. I worked on a poster for the Velveteers, a rock band.

 

The inspiration for this project came from looking at who this band was. They were into dark colors that almost fit the velvet look, with fish net tights and sunglasses. There was one song that they had that was fun and really spoke to people so I focused on what I could do with that. I chose the background because it matched what type of music they played, then I chose to put there instruments to show who they were and what they played. Now the information and print is bright pink which you might feel doesn't match. But to them and their music it fits right in.
