Inspiration

Wassily Kandinsky

Kandinsky is an inspiration because what he painted was always really unique. He took a different aspect of look into his design to create something that had meaning but kept you on the edge of your seat wondering exactly what everything meant. The different aspects that he used in his paintings were also very different he used a lot of different shapes and colors and put things together that you would have probably never thought of to go together. His paintings might just be blobs to some people, but for some they could see and get a lot of ideas out of what he did.

April Greiman

April was recognized not for only being an amazing graphic designer but also for being one of the first designer to really embrace using technology to design. I love Aprils designs and they are an inspiration because of how they look. They all have unique texture to them and each had a unique color scheme. It reminds me that hey not all art has to look how everyone pictures. Her work reminds me to try using different textures, patterns and colors even when I am unsure that they might not work together.

Bob Ross

Bob Ross is an amazing painter when he paints it is something that is relaxing to watch because of how he explains it and how he uses his inspiration to make something beautiful. I love this painting the most because it gives me inspiration, it reminds me of a happy place and makes me want to create something beautiful. I love the use of color that he has and how he blends it to make the paintings feel so natural.

Saul Bass

Bass made a lot of posters and each one was simple and clean but different. It made me want to know what his inspiration was to make whatever it was that he had made. The way that he put perspective into his artwork is my favorite part about his graphic design. Like in this image he calls it the man with the golden arm but the arm is not golden the words are. I like how it gives you that creative idea but it is different and you have to think about it. His work gave me that wow reaction when I thought about the reason behind whatever he was working on.

Paula Scher

A graphic designer who had a lot to say about words and letters. Weather they had meaning or not her work always had some type of word play inserted into it. Her work inspires me because she is not afraid to put things into that most people would tiptoe around. She doesn't only speak the truth but she hides meaning into the art drawing your eyes to it.
